Hi there!
I'm Manthila
I started taking photos seriously in 2022, and since then I've shot 70+ events and portrait sessions around Melbourne - everything from pitch competitions and industry networking events to formal dinners and balls.
Before photography, I spent years organising large events myself. As President of one of the University of Melbourne's largest student societies, I put together networking events to connect hundreds of students with industry professionals, hackathons, balls, and managed sponsorship relationships worth tens of thousands of dollars.
That experience is what makes me good at this - I know what it's like to be the person behind the event, worrying about whether the photographer is going to get the shots you need, show up on time, and not get in anyone's way.
When you book me you can expect me to turn up early, know what shots you need before you even tell me, and deliver a clean, well-edited gallery without you having to chase me.
When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me on a hike on a mountain in the middle of nowhere, or at the gym getting a pump.

Editing Process
Events:
I capture the events as they are, and that same principle applies to the editing process.
My goal is to showcase the energy and liveliness of your event by enhancing the lighting and colour balance. I like to highlight the key moments and details of your event in a way that preserves the tem as you remember them.
Portraits:
Some photographers opt to heavily retouch images, but I prefer to keep you looking natural. My approach to editing is minimalistic, focusing on enhancing your natural beauty while maintaining the authenticity of the moment. If you want me to edit your photos in a certain way, definitely let me know.
That said, I will remove temporary blemishes such as pimples and bruises, but I am more than happy to keep in anything you ask me to!
