I never appreciated the beauty of the alleyways we have in Melbourne until a few weeks ago when I decided to do a portrait shoot with Yusuf. After some research online, I found Niagara Lane and Hardware street (Not Hardware lane, because that is very crowded so not great for a photoshoot). I always like to scout the locations beforehand so I visited them and immediately saw so many locations for great shots.
The brickwork in Niagara Lane is stunning and the sunlight comes in at different angles due to the surrounding skyscrapers. Hardware Street on the other hand has graffiti walls and cozy cafes with nice designs on the windows to use as backgrounds. While I was there I accidentally discovered Timothy lane which has some really cool lights and hanging plants. Photos from each location are shown below.

“Manthila was a fantastic photographer. He picked amazing locations, outfits and poses for our portrait shoots. He did an excellent job with explaining his ideas, provided mood boards in advance, finished the shooting within the time frame he promised and delivered the photos in no time. He edited them all without losing the natural look of the photos.”
